Gold Prices Hit New High Again; Gold Miners Boom as ZIJIN MINING Break Ceiling; LINGBAO GOLD Leaps 7%

Tense situation in the Middle East spurred spot gold price to last print at US$2,281.58 per ounce, after hitting another historical high. New York gold futures for June delivery once exceeded the new record high of US$2,300, and last added 0.7% to US$2,298.5.

Gold miners prospered this morning (3rd). ZIJIN MINING (02899.HK) peaked at a historical high of $16.9, and last printed at $16.64, up 2.59%, with 8.0932 million shares traded, involving $134 million. LINGBAO GOLD (03330.HK) peaked at $3.52, close to the record high of $3.57 made yesterday, and last leaped 7.2% to $3.43, with 1.434 million shares traded.

CHINAGOLDINTL (02099.HK) last advanced 2.35% to $50.1, while ZHAOJIN MINING (01818.HK) peaked at an over-6-month high of $11.88, and last elevated 3.2% to $11.62. SD GOLD (01787.HK) peaked at $17.98, hitting an over-10-month high, and last printed at $17.76, up 2.78%.
