13F Report: Bridgewater Associates’ Q2 Holdings Decrease by 1.18% to $16.193 Billion; Adds 77 Positions and Trims 342 Stocks
According to the disclosure from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bridgewater Associates, LP, the global leading hedge fund, has submitted its second-quarter holdings report (13F) until June 30, 2023.
Statistics show that Bridgewater Associates’ total market value of holdings in the second quarter reached $16.193 billion, which is a 1.18% decrease compared to the previous quarter’s total market value of $16.388 billion. In the second quarter, Bridgewater Associates added 77 new securities to its portfolio, increased holdings in 270 stocks, reduced holdings in 342 stocks, and completely exited positions in 91 stocks. The top ten holdings accounted for 35.19% of the total market value.

In the top five major holdings,
ETF-iShare ( $S&P 500 Index Ishares IVV$ ) takes the first position with approximately 2.01 million shares held, valued at $897 million, marking a 10% increase in holdings compared to the previous quarter. This constitutes 5.54% of the investment portfolio.
The core MSCI Emerging Markets ETF-iShares ( $iShares Core MSCI Emerging Markets ETF IEMG$ ) comes in second place with around 17.93 million shares held, valued at approximately $883 million, accounting for 5.46% of the investment portfolio.
Procter & Gamble ( $Procter & Gamble Company PG$ ) and Johnson & Johnson ( $Johnson & Johnson JNJ$ ) secure the third and fourth positions, with holdings worth $700 million and $526 million, respectively, accounting for 4.33% and 3.25% of the investment portfolio. Notably, Johnson & Johnson witnessed an 11% decrease in holdings compared to the previous quarter.
Coca-Cola ( $Coca-Cola Company KO$ ) takes the fifth position, with holdings valued at around $494 million, constituting 3.05% of the investment portfolio.

In terms of changes in holding proportions, the top five stocks bought are iShares S&P 500 ETF ( $S&P 500 Index Ishares IVV$ ), Merck ( $Merck & Co., Inc. MRK$ ), iShares China Large-Cap ETF ( $iShares China Large-Cap ETF FXI$ ), Philip Morris International ( $Philip Morris International Inc. PM$ ), and iShares MSCI China ETF ( $China Index MSCI Ishares MCHI$ ).
On the other hand, the top five stocks sold are SPDR Gold Shares ( $SPDR Gold GLD$ .), iShares Gold Trust ( $Gold Trust Ishares IAU$ ), Meta ( $Meta Platforms META$ ), Mastercard ( $MasterCard Incorporated Class A MA$ ), and Home Depot ( $Home Depot, Inc. HD$ ).

In terms of newly established positions, Bridgewater Associates has initiated positions in AT&T ( $AT&T Inc. T$ ), with a holding value of approximately $31.61 million. Following that, Bridgewater has also established a position in DoorDash ( $DoorDash, Inc. Class A DASH$ ), holding around 360,000 shares valued at approximately $2,814.
